One Taikoo Place (1TP) won the Grand Award under the New Buildings Category (Completed Projects – Commercial Building) in Green Building Award 2019. 1TP is part of the transformation and re-establishment of Taikoo Place into a more sustainable and livable office campus as well as a focal point for the neighboring community.

1TP has been designed and constructed with sustainability at the centre throughout the whole project lifecycle. Taking an integrated design approach, the project adopts many innovative initiatives targeting to reduce climate change impacts and optimize resource efficiency.

It implements high sustainability performance from energy conservation, water use reduction, and renewable energy generation, operating carbon reduction and demolition and construction waste recycling. With a generator fueled by biodiesel made of 100% waste cooking oil, the project is the first commercial office tower in Hong Kong to use a waste-to-energy tri-generation system, and the first triple platinum commercial building in HK namely BEAM Plus, LEED and WELL.
